It pointed at 03.00 pm. I was so tired and bored at my classroom. Yeah, I was studying Advanced Grammar with Mrs. Zarini. Actually, I used to feel sleepy when I studied with her. Why? So, did you really want to know what my reason was? First, she couldn’t teach well. I braved to say it because when she taught us she used to sit and seldom to stand in front of the class and write the conclusion of the subject. She used to ask all of the students to read the book. Really, it made us bored. Second, I never understood what she said because her voice was not loud enough. It was difficult for me to concentrate to the subject. But, she was pretty and had great body.

             “Hoaaaammmmmm………” I was so sleepy but the time to go home was still a half and two hours later. So, I hafta have a tactic to cheat her. I moved at the back row slowly. Luckily, she didn’t know it. “Alhamdulillah, thanks god!” I said.

            Then, I opened my book as if I read it. In fact, I slept until the lesson ended. The time pointed at 05.30. It was time to go home. My friend, Eka or the fifth dwarf woke me up.

            “Hey the first dwarf! C’mon, wake up soon.” Eka whispered on my ear.

            “What time is it?” I asked him.

            “It’s time to go home you know.” He explained.

            “Are you sure?” I asked again.

            “Yap! Do you want to sleep here?” he answered (little dejected).

            “Of course no” I said.

            Did you know I had a group in my classroom? The name was “Dwarf Group”. All of our group members consisted of short and small people. It was average 150cm tall. Well, I was “The First Dwarf”.  Then, Kucek was “The Second Dwarf”. Ulil was “The Third Dwarf”. Echi was “The Fourth Dwarf”. And the last is Eka. We called him “The Fifth Dwarf or The Last Dwarf”. Just now, Eka or the last dwarf has already waked me up.

            “Wow, today is your birthday right? So, I wanna say happy birth day to you. Well, give me hugs and kisses.” Eka said happily.

            “Really? What date is today?” I confused.

            “The twenty fifth of April.”

            “Are you sure??” I didn’t believe.

            “Yap, please look at the calendar. All of our friends bring many surprised eggs today. Do you realize it???”He explained.

            “Oh my god! They’ll throw the eggs to my head!!! Oh no….. Help me please!!!” I showed my miserably face.

            “So, what can I do for you?” he asked.

“Do you bring motorcycle??? Give me ride to go home.”

“Actually yes, but my friend borrowed it! I’m so sorry!”

“Oh goodness!!”

            Class was over. After my lecture got out from the class I prepared myself to run because I knew all of my friends would give me surprises. But, I didn’t like it coz they would throw my head with eggs.  Many eggs I thought. I opened my high heels then I ran as far as I could. I heard one of them screamed. “Lope runs!!!!!!!!!”

            “Oh my god! They realized it!” I said it alone and still ran. I saw that they chased after me. I tried to run faster. Many people looked at me. Maybe they thought I was crazy. But, it was ok. I didn’t care. Then, I saw Edd rode motorcycle. I stopped him.

“May I take a ride until my house, please?” I showed off my pity face.

“I’m really sorry Lope because your friends will kick, hit and kill me if I give you rode.” he ignored me.

“What????”  I was shocked.

“Yap. Pardon me!” he took apologize then let me alone.

“Damn, I don’t believe it!”I cursed. I didn’t realize that Uchie stood behind me.

“Hi dear Lope!” she said while hit the egg on my head. “This is your new conditioner baby!” She laughed.

“Oh my god! Uchie, you make my hair…..” I didn’t continue my words coz I saw many people come to me. I ran and let them chased after me.

“Wait!!!!” they screamed together. Unfortunately, I just had short leg and they could catch me.

“Here you are!!!!” they turned each other to give me eggs on my head. Ya, maybe more or less there were ten eggs smiled and jumped on my head.

“You all broke my hair you know!” I screamed to them.

“It’s none of our business Lope” they laughed together.

“Well, I’ll hug you all!” I smiled and run to hug them with my dirty and smelly hair. I catch them one by one and shared their surprised egg.

“Oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo………………….Lope, don’t do it to us!!!” they screamed but I don’t care.

Jangan tanya “Kenapa saya begini??????”

Kenapa saya begini? Kenapa orang tua saya selalu bertengkar? Mengapa mereka tidak pernah menghargai pendapat saya? Apakah pendapat saya tidak berarti? Mengapa mereka selalu sibuk terhadap diri mereka? Mengapa mereka tidak peduli terhadap saya? Mengapa orang tua saya pilih kasih? And bla bla bla…

Saya terlalu sering mendengar kalimat-kalimat tanya seperti itu. Baik itu dari sahabat, teman, murid, maupun adik kos-kosan saya. Jika saya jawab maka akan timbul pertanyaan baru. Jika pertanyaan baru tersebut saya jawab, maka akan timbul lagi pertanyaan lain. Dan begitu seterusnya. Sayapun takkan sanggup lagi untuk menjelaskan ketika mereka terus mendesak saya dengan pertanyaan yang berkontinue. Bahkan waktupun tak terasa ketika saya terus meladeni mereka.

Saat ini saya memiliki jawaban ampuh terhadap pertanyaan mereka atau bahkan pertanyaan sama dari anak-anak di jagad raya ini. Tapi sebelum saya menjawab, sayapun bertanya kepada mereka.

Apakah anda memiliki keluarga yang utuh? Mereka jawab “iya”.

Apakah kedua orang tua anda masih hidup? Mereka jawab “iya”.

Apakah anda masih tinggal bersama mereka, kedua orang tua anda? Jawabanpun tetap “iya”.

Sekarang coba renungkan gadis kecil yang setiap sore bersama saya. Tahukah anda, ketika dia dilahirkan ibunya langsung dijemput Yang Maha Esa. Ketika dia berumur 10 tahun ayahnya pun telah tiada. Dan sekarang yang tinggal satu-satunya adalah bibinya. Bibinyapun terpaksa harus dipanggil yang kuasa. Tapi dia selalu tersenyum dan ceria di depan saya. Tahukah anda, anak sekecil itu akan menjalani hidup bertahun-tahun ke depan tanpa orang tuanya. Terkadang dia juga merindukan rasanya dimarahi, rasanya disayangi, dan rasa lainnya. Tahukah anda, ketika dia tersenyum, saya yang menangis. Mengapa? Karena saya pun pernah menanyakan pertanyaan bodoh yang anda tanyakan kepada saya. Dia bisa tegar, dan kenapa anda tidak???????? Renungkanlah………..

HIDUP SEUMPAMA BERMAIN ULAR TANGGA

Jika kita lihat secara seksama, secara tidak langsung permainan “ular tangga” hampir sama dengan lika liku perjalanan kehidupan manusia. Dalam permainan “ular tangga” terdapat dua komponen yaitu “tangga” dan “ular”. Tangga diibaratkan dengan kemujuran atau keberuntungan seseorang sedangkan ekor ularnya diibaratkan dengan masalah-masalah yang membentang, yang mau tidak mau, suka tidak suka, tetap harus dihadapi dan dijalani.

Ketika ANDA mendapatkan tangga berarti dewi fortune sedang berpihak kepada ANDA. ANDA sedang berada diatas dan berjaya. Ini adalah masa-masa emas bagi ANDA. Tapi, ada satu pertanyaan yang harus ANDA jawab. Pada moment seperti ini apakah ANDA lantas angkuh, sombong, arrogant, dan terlena oleh semuanya??? Ingat, masih ada ekor ular yang menunggu ANDA.

Jika ANDA mendapatkan ekor ular, berarti ANDA akan menjalani masa-masa sulit dalam hidup ANDA. ANDA akan terjatuh. Lalu, apakah ANDA akan bertahan atau menyerah??? Semuanya ditangan ANDA. Menyerah adalah keputusan yang akan diambil oleh orang-orang yang tidak percaya terhadap dirinya sendiri, yang meremehkan dirinya sendiri. Kalau ANDA tidak yakin terhadap diri ANDA, lantas bagaimana orang akan yakin terhadap ANDA. Ingat, “HASIL DIUJUNG USAHA”.

Jangan ukur seseorang dengan berapa kali ia jatuh, ukurlah ia dengan berapa kali dia sanggup bangkit kembali (Zero to Hero; 56).

Pada dasarnya, “Berapa kali kita jatuh tak jadi masalah. Yang penting kemampuan kita untuk bangkit kembali setiap kali kita jatuh (Zero to Hero; 56). Ya, saya kira ular tangga juga bisa diibaratkan dengan pasang surut kehidupan manusia.

The mystery of “BEA IMEL'S FACEBOOK”

            “Lov, really I doubt to you and her. Because both of you are nearer to Mela.” Kucek said when we had lunch together at Pondok Bambu Cafee on Monday afternoon.

            “What??????” I’m little shocked when heard it. “Do you think I make it and upload all of them???”

            “Yap, maybe. Who knows?” Kucek answered.

            “What?? What for??” I’m still shocked.

            “I don’t know.” She said.

            “Wow, u really make me shocked you know. I think you know that I’m really busy with my job. I must teach every day at school, course and on afternoon at home. And on evening I spent my time for my family. It’s wasting my time to do that."

STOP GLOBAL WARMING BY OURSELVES FIRST

“What are you doing?” I asked to Maria.

“I just turn on the fan.” Maria answered.

“No, don’t do that!” I scream to her.

“Hah? What’s wrong with you?” She asked me.

“I don’t like if we sleep you turn on the fan. I don’t want it you know!” I answered.

“Did you know this is my bedroom? If you don’t like please move and sleep in your bedroom. Don’t annoy me, ok! “She said.

“What???? You said that I am annoying??? Shit!!!!!”

“Yeah, coz I think you just stay with me here!” Maria answered.

“Yap, you’re right. I just stay in your bedroom. But, please appreciate me. Really, I don’t like fan.” I explained to her.

“Wow, but I’m really hot! I couldn’t sleep without fan. You hafta appreciate me also, ok! ” She said.

“Yap, I know that I stay with you in your bedroom. Did you know actually I don’t want to sleep here. But, I’m afraid to sleep in my bedroom. So I wanna join here. But, you make me fed up to you!” I said.

“Mmm, it’s none of my business.” She said. Then, she slept.

Oh goodness!!!! She made me really annoyed. If I didn’t sleep here, I would kick her. She did anything as like as her mind. I’m her sister but she didn’t appreciate me. Yeah, I gotta receive the condition although I didn’t like it. Huhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Why you don’t like if I turn on the fan or air conditioner?” Maria asked it to me on next day.

“Coz it makes me hard to breathe. Then, if we always turn on the fan or air conditioner it’ll broke ozone layer. It’ll break our earth and make global warming. Let’s heal the world from ourselves first. Did you know our earth is too old and don’t fresh anymore.” I explained it to her.

“I think many people use it. Not only me.”

“Yap, I know that. But, we can keep it from ourselves first.” I said it seriously.

“Wow, you make me amazed. Is it you????” She laughed.

“I’m really serious you know.” I looked her eyes deeply.

“But, I couldn’t stop it! I’m not comfortable if I don’t use fan or air conditioner. Then, I think you should say it to the progress country. There are many trees here. We’re the rise/develop country still has many trees, flowers and forests. We’re safe you know.”

“Oh, c’mon dear!!! Don’t be fool. If you want to imitate something, please imitate the good thing. Well, if someone eats feces then you’ll eat it also right??”  I made sure her.

“Of course no.” she said.

“Well, I hope you can change your habitual step by step. And let’s heal the world together!!!!!” I said.

 After I said it suddenly Maria hugged me and said “I love you my sister.

HAKIKAT KEGAGALAN

1.    takut melangkah karena takut salah.

2.   tidak mengakui kekalahan dan kesalahan.

CAUSATIVE

Causative is the sentence used to ask other people to do something. There are two kinds of causative, namely: have (has/had), get (gets/got). The object of “get” and “have” causative can be person or thing. When the object is a person called Active Causative but when the object is a thing called Passive Causative.

1.      “get (gets/got)” causative with person as object

For example:

a.      He will get Miss. Luphz to accompany him to the party tomorrow.

S          get         O             to infinitive

b.      Yesterday, she got the woman to wash the shirt.

S    got                   O       to infinitive

c.       She gets her servant to clean the house.

S     gets                  O        to infinitive

d.      The teacher got the students to make homework yesterday.

f.        My mom gets me to make a tea.

g.      They get me to do exercise.

So, the form of “get (gets/got)” causative is:
