2 MONTHS

“Pink, who is he?” I whispered to Pipin. I was at her house coz I learnt cooking with her mother ‘Mamah Yet’. I learnt to make a cake here. Pipin’s mother was great in made all kind of cake. She had some employee at her house. And she had a little store also. The name was “OP Cake”. OP meant Ogie Pratama, her youngest children. Yup, Ogie Pratama or Ogie was Pipin’s brother.
“Which one do you mean?” Pipin asked to me.
“The man who talked with Ochi just now I mean.” I answered.
“Ow, he is Ryan. Did you know he is my neighbor’s grandson? His grandparents live next to my house. But, he lives in Tabing at ‘Perumahan Haji’. He always comes to Lubuk Alung every week to see his grandparents. Then, he has own car. He drives alone by himself to Lubuk Alung.”
“Wow! But, I don’t care! Btw, where does he go to college?” I asked more.
“He goes to Andalas University in Padang. He is in first semester now.” Pipin answered.
“So, he is youngest than us I think.”
“No, actually he is as old as us.” Pipin explained.
“Then, why he is still in the first semester?” I asked again.
“I don’t know exactly. Ask alone by yourself, ok! Ops, btw, he is still single. I mean he doesn’t have a special girl friend now. He is a kind person but little talkative I think.” Pipin explained.
“Talkative? What do you mean Pink?” I confused.
“Hmmmmmm……. Actually, he always talks anything to me. He can’t stop his mouth. I’m tired to hear him.”
“Ow!”
“Yeah…Btw, I think he likes you. I can see it from his eyes.” Pipin said.
“Hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa……………… Is u kidding to me??” I laughed.
“C’mon, I’m serious. You’ll be happy if you with him coz he has everything.”
“Forget it! I wanna continue to adorn this cake.”

“Hi,” the man whom I asked to Pipin said hi to me while smiling.
            “Hi too.” I answered.
“May I sit here?” he asked permission to me.
            “Yes, of course.” I answered.
“By the way, are you working here?” he asked.
“Maybe yes and maybe no.” I answered.
            “So?”
“Actually I wanna learnt to make cake here. But, Pipin’s mother also gives me money. So, I learn while working I think.” I explained.
“That’s great! By the way, my name is Ryan.” He introduced himself.
“Well, I’m Tri Lovianti. But, please call me Lov.” I introduced myself also.
“I’m glad to meet you Lov.”
“Yeah, me too. Anyway, I wanna go home. My mom will miss me if I’m late to go home” I was kidding to him.
            “See you around. Take care!”
            “Thank you.”

There were some missed calls but I didn’t hear it. I was watching TV when my phone rang. Then, it rang again but it was new number. I didn’t know who owned the number.  And I answered soon.
            “Hello, Assalamualaikum…” I said.
            “Waalaikumsalam. Are you Tri Lovianti?”
            “Yes, I’m.” I answered.
“I’m Ryan. Do you still remember me?” He said.
“Sure. By the way, where do you know my number? I didn’t give my number to you, right?”
“I asked it to Pipin. I’m sorry before. Are you angry?”
            “No, it’s ok!” I answered.
Then, we talked everything. He asked me about my college, major, address, brothers and sisters, favorite food and drink, age, etc. I didn’t remember how long I talked to him.
***
At tomorrow morning I came to Pipin’s house again. I still learnt how to make a cake and how to adorn it. Actually, I was free now. I didn’t have class because I would begin it two weeks later. So, I had much free time. And at this holiday I took decision that I would learn cooking with Pipin’s mother.
“Hi, good morning!” someone said it to me.
“Hello, good morning!” I replied and saw who owned the voice. “Oh my god, is it you?
By the way, how’s life?” I continued.
“Alhamdulillah, so far so good, thank you. How about you dear?” he answered and asked me too.
            “I’m good, thanks.”
“So, do you come here every morning? What time exactly?” he asked.
“Mmm, I usually come at 07.30. Anyway, did you stayed at your grandmother’s home last night?” I asked.
“Yes, when I called you last night I was at my grandma’s house.” He answered.
“By the way, I hafta adorn this cake.”
“Yes, it’s ok. I’ll accompany you here. May I?”
“Of course yes.” Pipin said it to him. “You may sit, stand, run, or help her. It’s up to you! I’ll give you permission. Hehehe…” she continued.
            “Sure.” I answered while smiling.
Then, we continued our conversation. Pipin left us. Since the first meeting, I felt comfort to him. Yeah, because he is low profile, charming, and little talkative. Ops, not talkative but he tried to be friendly I thought.
“So, at this holiday you’ll stay at your mother’s home, right?” I asked.
“Yes, because I wanna see you. Hahahahaaaa…. Just joke!” he answered.
            “Hahahaha….. Yeah, I know that.” I said.
“What semester are you in?” I asked.
“I’m in the first semester and how about you?”
“Hmm…. I think I’ve said it to u when you called me last night, right? I said everything about myself.”
“Ow, sorry! I forget it! Yah, I remember it! Well, your name is Tri Lovianti. Your friends at your college call you Trilov. But, your family and your best friend called you ‘Cutet’. You have two brothers and one sister. Your older brother is Hendri, your younger sister is Maria and the youngest is Fredi. You are the second child of your family .Now, you are in the third semester. Your major is English. You study at Teacher Training College STKIP). ”
